I was looking for a quick read, and I love mysteries and romance so I thought I’d try these books. It was actually a surprise to see just how much background and knowledge you learn about the characters. Of course it’s not as developed as a 400 page novel but you learn about their past and why they are where they are now. You also learn about why a romance can start up in a few pages. All together swell put together book. I am writing this review after reading the second book in the series and enjoying the continuation of the series as well.
