À propos de cet audio
In this sexy and emotional romance from the acclaimed author of Out of the Woods and Out on a Limb, a small-town woman’s journey to spread her wings intertwines with the arrival of an adventurous newcomer who brings out the best in her.
Prudence Welch has found solace in her introverted life in Baysville, a charming tourist town in Northern Ontario. Despite once dreaming of a life beyond its borders, she now finds contentment in her routines: working at her father’s gas station, writing poetry, and caring for her mother, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease shortly after Prue’s nineteenth birthday. But as her mother’s condition worsens and her father’s concerns about her own future intensify, Prue feels her world slipping further out of control.
Enter Milo Kablukov, an enigmatic wanderer whose beat-up van covered with ill-advised bumper stickers rolls into town just when Prue needs a change. It’s all too easy to let go with him, and Prue can’t help but strike up an unlikely friendship with Milo, which leads to a wild and sexy agreement between them.
Milo, a man of many adventures and countless stories, is not one to settle down. However, his brother’s urgent need for help has brought him to Baysville, and now the intriguing Prue has given him more reason to stay—especially once they start spending more time together, their chemistry intensifying, and casual-sex lessons begin at Prue’s request.
But as their temporary arrangement blossoms into something deeper, Prue and Milo discover that getting out of their comfort zones is one thing...taking that leap together is something else entirely.

Currently 5 for 5 of crying at least once while listening to every one of Hannah’s books !
This book is life changing in the best way possible. I’m so in love with every single aspect of this book. Hannah, you are absolutely incredible. Thank you for gracing us with your impeccable writing. I am in shambles.
Prue and Milo, oh my heart. I love love love a healing each other love story and Milo and Prue are that!!! They healed each other so beautifully, from their very relatable trauma and insecurities, to their soft hearts, to their witty banter, to their relationship with each other and their families and each others families (especially Milo and Prue’s mom). Everything about Milo and Prue had me in a chokehold.
Milo is everything, I will never get over MMCs that are hot and funny and act all cool just to discover a sweet broken hearted soul underneath. Then to top it all off he’s a tattooed, filthy speaking, moustache, mullet man 😩😩😩
Hannah’s writing is poetic. She writes so beautifully that i’m pretty sure she changed my brain chemistry. The way she writes her characters, the setting, the storyline, the love and healing and sadness and everything in between is just so incredibly special.
This book had me feeling every emotion under the sun, i laughed and cried and blushed and lusted, it was just everything i could possible want. it left me so in love with the concept of love that heals, kismet, found family, and so much more. I’m in awe of this book and will be thinking about People Watching forever !
Hannah does it again !

I'd finally found an amazing author who had so many different types of representation in all of their books, and is also Canadian, so maybe my expectations were just too high?
I've read all of Hannah Bonam-Young's other books and while those were instalove AND instafamily, both of which I typically despise, they were some of my top favorite romances ever. I've re-read them in very short periods of time because I enjoyed them so much that I couldn't wait to return to the warm and fuzzy feelings the stories gave me.
I didn't like the "poetry" included sporadically throughout the book, but I love the idea of it, there just wasn't enough of it and none of it stood out.
The only character I was interested in was...Seth? is that their name? the brother's wife who has 5 kids by the age of 30 (and I hate children, but I just don't understand how they're genuinely so nice, caring, and helpful).
it also was not cool to have a bi-sexual character and then have him refer to himself as a slut (even if it was during "dirty talk") and say he's slept with so many people that he's lost count, but it was over 200. He already seemed gross and pervy before that, but it just feels like such a dangerous stereotype to reinforce. then add in the fact that he's intentionally not telling prudence so much about his sexual past and they're "putting a pin" in everything is awful.
then the siblings had been physically abused by their father growing up and when they finally went to talk about it the brother excluded their sister from the conversation and were just like "he was an asshole but oh well, we reluctantly have each other"
High expectations led to major disappointment
