Voice actor was phenomenal
I luckily consumed this title with audible and enjoyed every second of it. The story was good, a little predictable, but it was elevated with the voice actor. She brought the book to life.

great story; incredible narrator
I really enjoyed the story and the characters were fantastic. As an audio book the narrator would have been make or break for this and this narrator absolutely smashed it out of the park. I look forward to more from the Author and hope they keep this Narrator for this series (2nd book coming in April 2025)

Haunted house vibes and so much more!!!
I cannot rave about this book enough! 5⭐️ reads and honestly one of my top favourites! I can’t stop thinking about this book. I couldn’t put it down, ate up every word Kaylie wrote! It’s fast paced and so well written! The BANTER between Blackwell 🖤🎩 and Ophelia was TOP NOTCH! I was giggling and kicking my feet! The amount of twist and turns this book had, I couldn’t stop. I NEEDED to know what was next.

I devoured this book!
Phantasma is gothic, thrilling, spicy, and compelling. It has a number of themes and tropes that you will enjoy if you like dark fantasy, romance, and/or paranormal types of storylines:
· Forced Proximity
· Forbidden Romance
· Morally Grey MMC
· A Necromancer FMC
· OCD/Anxiety Representation
· Deadly Competitions
· Secrets, Lies & Betrayals
· “Good Girl” & “Who Did This To You” vibes
· Sexy Ghosts
One of the standout pieces for me was the incredible way that the author integrated mental health representation, through first-hand experiences, into this book. The OCD and anxiety representation is thoughtfully intertwined into the storyline and into the main FMC in a way that is raw, vulnerable, and convincing. I need more stories with this level of representation!
The nine levels of hellish competitions that had to be endured by the contestants of Phantasma were dark, twisted, and full of bloodshed and I loved every minute of it! I enjoyed how the nine competitions were based on the nine circles of hell and enjoyed how the gore level just kept increasing.
The tension, chemistry and banter between Ophelia and Blackwell was wonderful and I finished the book questioning whether others also ended with a crush on a phantom.
I cannot stop recommending this book to everyone I know! I’ve already pre-ordered the second book, Enchantra and I’m excited to dive back into this gothic universe.
As always, Laura Horowitz does an incredible job performing the voices of the characters and making me love this book even more.

Could not put it down!
I follow the narrator and decided to listen because of her. 10/10 best narrator ever.
The story though?! So so so good. I don’t want to drop spoilers but it is definitely a high recommend!
I also love that this book is a stand alone. The whole story is here; I do not have to wait months or years for the end of the whole story.

Well rounded
This was a really great listen overall. I was enthralled with the story. Slow enough to enjpy casually but fast paced enough you dont loose interest. Good mix of storyline and steamy scenes in the chapters. The ending was satisfying as well.

amazing
honestly the story line was amazing I loved the game aspect of the book, there was romance and spice but it was a good amount. I couldn't stop listening to the book it kept pulling me back.
