With the combination of action, emotion, and recurring/new characters, this was another book in the series I couldn't put down. I look forward to rereading it as often as I do the others! :)

Another excellent book

Murderbot has to rescue some of Dr Mensa's family in extremely hostile territory. and he performs wonderfully as he continues to grow emotionally.
I can hardly wait to see what is next in this series. thank you Martha Wells I will enjoy this several times as I reread the entire series.

It would be interesting to do something outside the realm of spontaneous/pre-planned hostage/victim/person-in-wrong-place trope, perhaps with a small cadre of rogues

solid murderbot stuff!

I was ready to be disappointed based on the Apple TVs rendering … SoCal-hipster, relationshipy insipid… But the author was careful to avoid the influence (i presume) of producers, show runners, and ‘workshopped’ ‘treatments’.
Nicely done! Also, Kevin Free as the voice of Murderbot is it!!🤨

I'm not really sure why this book is rated so high. Perhaps it's because people love Murderbot's internal dialogue more than anything. When it comes to story and action, this book offers very little. Not much character development and truly not much excitement. I still love Murderbot but felt like this was a dud.
