Spoilers/trigger warning. Book one describes a sexual assault and book two includes an abortion and cancer diagnosis. I finished the third book out of pure dedication to getting my money’s worth, not because I had a connection to the characters anymore. I feel like I should have just finished with book one, no need to continue. Book one was definitely a romance novel, book two was fiction, and book three was women’s literature. Too many genres in one series.
