À propos de cet audio

A deadly virus has been unleashed. A virus so vicious that it reduces the infected to a terrifying version of themselves that could lead to the end of our race as we know it.

Elaina has been identified as the point of transmission and the reason for the chaos and havoc. She created the virus and let it out. Now, more than just the infected would like to see her head served up on a platter.

When havoc unfolds in the city, law enforcement officer Alec is involved in an accidental shooting. Put on paid leave, he bitterly lays low during the madness until he's called back to help control the alarming spread of the virus, while hoping to put an end to the person responsible for the virus and his near-shattered career.

Elaina is trying to stay under the radar too, but she can't hide forever. She has to help stop this and come up with a cure before it's too late.

When Alec and Elaina cross paths, they'll have to decide what's more important...revenge, redemption, or survival.

Contains mature themes.

Wow!! The story grips you right from the get go and never gets boring. It's the first time listening to this narrator and I'm amazed! He really brought all the characters to life, you can feel their emotions, he had me actually angry with one of the people, makes you love some and hate the others. You won't regret listening to this book!!

Phenomenal narrator and story!

The plotting in this Max Lockwood story is actually creditable. Lockwood brings together an alcoholic screw-up cop and an arrogant elitist virologist in the midst of a "Rage"-type virus epidemic (caused by a manipulated pathogen called the 'Morgan Strain'). Victims go mad and attack their neighbors: biting, scratching, and spreading the illness. Together, while self-reflecting and maturing, they team up with a couple of rescued teenagers and struggle for survival in a world gone mad. Power-mad military figures looking for a bioweapon get involved.
Lockwood does a nice job dreaming up challenges for the group and describes encounters with the infected & the ever-present roving-gang sociopaths vividly.. but his writing is distinctly unskilled and the dialogue is unimaginative.

Unfortunately, the situation is made worse by reader Chris Andrew Ciulla. To be clear, his performance is solidly professional.. but he sounds suspiciously like he's doing a Dana Carvey impression at times and exhibits god-awful female character interpretations.

Altogether, you should pass on 'Point Of Transmission'. Even for free, this promising but bungled 1.5/10 star audiobook was hard to get through. If you pay a Credit for the book, you're an idiot. You could find better reads in a stack of high school creative writing submissions.

Amateurish Effort. Don't Bother.
