I wanted to like this book but even though I can't relate to being on the run, I sometimes found Amanda's character to be too cocky and smarmy. I mean who goes into hiding without verifying the facts and becoming paranoid that someone is going to kill you - all the while not knowing who, and why, especially if she was considered a formidable adversary in her previous life. For me it was a little too far stretched. I think Amanda should have gained some sense of security during her years in hiding on her own....just me -
