I loved every minute of this gut-churning roller coaster ! Gimmy more ! I Hope More books are on the way such an amazing writer. I can not wait fir the movie!

The graphic writing, it's like jurassic park so freakn good!

I just finished both Jurassic Park and The Lost World. Both were great but I was craving more… then I seen the trailer for the Primitive War movie and noticed in the comment section people were talking about the book. So I checked it out and listened to the first few minutes and was immediately hooked. If you like the Jurassic Park books and war novels then this is the book for you. Overall I think it was great, but very real and very visceral. The book had me on the edge of my seat the entire listen. However there were instances where I needed to put it down for a day or two to fully process what I just heard and kind of detox from the sadness and violence and just horrific reality of war and what I would assume would be the reality of being ripped apart by dinosaurs. But if you can stomach the violence and the sadness that comes along with war, it will be a thrilling listen.

Wayne June delivers another stellar performance. His baratone voice and experience with scary media fits perfectly. Ethan Pettus writes fairly standard military action paired with TOP NOTCH dino talk. I can't rave enough regarding the fantastic descriptions of the predatory animals and their behaviors. The R Rated Dinosaur horror I've always wanted. I'll never look at birds the same way.

Corny, overdone accents were a turnoff

Loved it, kept me engaged and even horrified! Bit hard to discern characters voices sometimes.

Making Dinosaurs proper scary!

I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie and decided to give Primitive War a try without much for expectations. I’m not one for war books but as a huge dinosaur lover, I figured I’d give it a chance.

I’m so glad I did.

The storyline was excellent, the tension-building was incredible, and the details of the environment painted a terrifyingly beautiful picture throughout the novel.

It was a heartbreaking glimpse into the horrors of war. I would have to take short breaks after certain sections because of the sorrow. This book dives deeply into the PTSD that many soldiers face and how it affects those differently, along with the coping mechanisms used to numb out pain.

My only criticism is that the Vietnamese accents were a bit difficult to understand at times, but the voice actor has an amazing voice for a story like this; the warm & husky voice was a wonderful juxtaposition to the horrors being read aloud.

Looking forward to listening to Stalker Force next!

Absolutely Incredible

Somehow a group of highly experienced combat soldiers make every wrong step throughout and to top it all off most of the dinosaurs are conveniently bulletproof to military graid weapons when it's convenient to the story.
Totally illogical!
Also the audio cuts in and out at different quality.
