She goes through hard times which may be quite relatable to some readers. Obviously not the designation part, but other aspects of her situation. I loved her story, and her Mama Bear attitude is very sensible. She's smart and mature -- her perspective, feelings and even doubts make sense to me.

The male narrator reads a little too fast and it doesn't match up that well with the female (main) narration, so it's a tiny bit annoying. If both of them were fast, I'd just slow it down in the settings but the female voice goes at a good listening pace. I split the difference and slowed it *a little* so the male voice is less rushed and I just deal with it if I find the female narration too slow.

I was hoping for a sweet relaxing read… well. This story had me in knots 😉 emotionally and then some. 3.5 for the spice content with a captivating story. Surprise pregnancy, single parent, reconnecting, alpha pack of brothers and a HEA.
