Lovely to listen to, Brian's voice is strong but soothing.

3.5 stars from me. I'm in agreement with most of the 3/3.5 star reviews.

His storytelling of childhood and curious relationship with his mother is great, I'd have loved to hear more.

He seems to gloss over his...indiscretions and his own parenting skills (or lack thereof).

Regarding his career in theatre, film, and TV - well I guess a lot of his telling felt like braggadocio, to me. I love an autobiography, but this one just hit different. It felt very surface, to be honest.

I first worked with Brian in his West End debut when he played Orlando in The BRC’s production of ‘As You Like It’ at the Vaudeville theatre in the Strand. I was a techy. He’s really quite an amazing storyteller with a more than one slap on the back for his accomplishments. One forgives that. He’s a wonderful actor with an immense range. He’s honest, true to his heart and a man who loves quite easily. Yes, he has been much loved by a number of very creative and beautiful creatures, but he has always reciprocated until, eventually it burns out. I last saw him in ‘The Weir’ at Wyndhams where I had a brief chat and saw the play, and brought my grown kids back to see it. Love the man! Fucking magic!!
