À propos de cet audio

Returning for a second year at Akarnae Academy with her gifted friends, Alexandra Jennings steps back through a doorway into Medora, the fantasy world that is full of impossibilities.

Despite the magical wonder of Medora, Alex’s life remains threatened by Aven Dalmarta, the banished prince from the Lost City of Meya who is out for her blood.

To protect the Medorans from Aven’s quest to reclaim his birthright, Alex and her friends seek out the Meyarin city and what remains of its ancient race. Not sure who - or perhaps what - she is anymore, all Alex knows is that if she fails to keep Aven from reaching Meya, the lives of countless Medorans will be in danger. Can she protect them, or will all be lost?

I can't get over it. I'm starting the next book right after I finished this.

yup, 3 chapters in and the sheer uselessness of Alex is just outstanding. what is the point of her character? she can't do anything with out getting "tired" . never learns anything from her endless stupidity of walking into trouble. seriously DUMB character. she can't put anything together.... when anyone with half an I.Q. could make sense of things she "doesn't understand" when a character is portrade brainless for plot progression... it becomes weak and annoying after so long.
On the bright side, the voice actress is great!

wtf

it is the curse of the second book in a series to be somewhat worse than a second but this one is all over the place. the story is convoluted at times and in other times so obvious it's painful. it's still interesting it still pulls you along it is still within the same realm of what the first book and it's exciting interesting parts were, but this time around it feels very forced.

and honestly the narration in this book was god-awful. every character sounded like the last almost every female other than the MC came across with an incredibly whiny four-year-old having a tantrum kind of voice. where did that come from?

ie: "But heeeeees claaaaaaimm-duh!"

it made it really unenjoyable.

To the point that I almost turned this off and went to the library to get the book so I could actually hear the characters in my mind without as they love to say in the book "winging" whenever their parts were being read.

I actually put the book on double speed for the last couple chapters just to get through it and that's never a good sign. I'm looking forward to the third book because it will probably be better but for now I need a break. I don't think I can handle listening to the whininess anymore.

good story, what happened to the narrator?
