I loved the first book and this was even better. Trin is such a badass and the banter back and forth with Zayne had me laughing. The heat simmered through just about the whole book and I can't wait to read the next!!

I was worried that this book wouldn’t be as good as the first based on other reviews. There was some feedback saying that Trinity spent most of this book just whining and being jealous but I TOTALLY disagree.

This sequel did focus a lot on Trinity’s internal struggle, trying to find the balance of who she is and how she can possibly give up Zayne, knowing that it’s what she’s supposed to do. But I didn’t find it overdone at all, I found myself caught up in her passion and understanding her character better.

I also loved how much of Roth we got! He’s a great character and he plays off of all the other characters so well. I’m so sad we have to wait so long for the next book, what an ending.

This is a good book and series, it is not amazing but not bad, perfect for in-between books. Note: this is Jennifer's Armentrout cookie-cutter recipe for books only with gargoyles and ghosts, I did enjoy this one better than the first one tho.

I feel like I enjoyed Leila’s story more then Trinity’s, this series is still good but kinda predictable and I don’t seem to relate to Trinity as much since I find her kinda selfish (I know it’s done on purpose, the balance of having a pure white & pure black soul) but I’m just not her biggest fan.
I’m still interested enough that I will go onto the next book ( this book did end in a cliffhanger) hopefully it ends well!

I really like the story of getting to know the mysteries. However, the relationship between the two characters is very much high school. There was no kissing rule when she was getting heavily petted. Like come on.. either be bad or don't. Then they are miscommunicating all the time or not communicating. The heroin is very much selfish in what she wants and she admitted it over and over. The story is good but the interactions between the characters are childish which makes the situation unbelievable. This is not for an adult reader. Maybe a young adult who is a virgin in relationships and in the bedroom would like this drama? Because I have read stronger female roles who have a good badass side but is able to communicate to her partner well and have a plot twist.

Immature love, masked as something more. Trinity and Zane are annoying...Inconsistent writing with thier story. This story would have been much better without the love story.

I struggled to finish this. It was mostly Trinity whining and she kind of lost her badass factor.
I'm so disappointed in this book as it wasn't nearly as good as the first.
