We can not raise a happy child if we are constantly screaming threats at them. No parent sets out to hurt their child, but this type of parenting does just that. To raise a happy child that wants to behave, you need to retrain yourself first. You need to change the way you think and react to their behavior. You need to understand your triggers and heal yourself. Only then you can begin to heal your relationship with your children.

Most mothers have experienced exhaustion, pain, forgetfulness, indecision, low energy levels, moodiness, or some form of baby brain. And it's no wonder: The process of growing a baby depletes a mother's body in substantial ways. But with postnatal care ending after six weeks, most women never learn how to rebuild their strength and care for their bodies after childbirth. As a result, they can suffer from the effects of depletion for many years, without knowing what's wrong as well as getting the support and treatments that they need.

When Tracy Hogg's Secrets of the Baby Whisperer was first published, it soared onto best-seller lists across the country. Parents everywhere became "whisperers" to their newborns, amazed that they could actually communicate with their baby within weeks of their child's birth. Tracy gave parents what for some amounted to a miracle: the ability to understand their baby's every coo and cry so that they could tell immediately if the baby was hungry, tired, in real distress, or just in need of a little TLC.

In the era of screens and devices, the average American spends 90 percent of their time indoors, and children are no exception. Not only does this phenomenon have consequences for kids’ physical and mental health, it jeopardizes their ability to understand and engage with anything beyond the built environment. Thankfully, with the right mind-set, families can find beauty, meaning, and connection in a life lived outdoors. Here, outdoors expert Steven Rinella shares the parenting wisdom he has garnered as a father whose family has lived amid the biggest cities and wildest corners of America.

Description
Discover the secrets to effective discipline without punishment, even if your child misbehaves
Are you tired of tantrums?
Do you feel guilty when you punish your child, but don't know any other option? Does it seem like nothing works? Are you constantly saying no to your children?
You're not alone.
Parenting isn't easy—as your child gets older and more independent, you get to see them reach a lot of milestones.

Research has made it clear there are certain methods and techniques that are better for your child and better for you.
In Raising Positive Little People, you will discover:
- Practical exercises and steps to help apply your newfound knowledge today
- The important difference between punishment and discipline and why you need to understand the difference
- Appropriate developmental expectations for each age group and how to tailor your communication style to any child's needs
