Approaching the story naively, not being a born a Hindu nor being very familiar with the story prior, this colourful, fun, and passionate reading moved me emotionally, inspiring a feeling of devotion for the characters. I was particularly moved by the relationship between Rama and Hanuman. I’m very thankful for coming across this and it makes me want to read and explore more of the Ramayana for myself.

I listed to this right after I listened to Polishing the Mirror by Ram Dass. The story is wisdom. It teaches the ideal way to live in our Dharma, to have unflinching devotion to god, it’s a story of great love between lover, family, and friends. It unites us with Mother Earth and all her creatures. Lots of symbolism.
