If there's one thing Savanna Mills has learned in life, it's nearly impossible to convince someone you're a killer if you can't produce a body. Especially if you can't tell them where or when the murder took place. But, when the horror starts to take over her life again, she knows she has to find a way to make someone believe her, before another child dies. Her unwanted but powerful attraction to the man who knocks her out at a concert is a complication she doesn't have time for and telling her heart that it can't have what it wants is a really hard sell. Hawk, a half Arapaho ex-Marine, is in Casper for a brief stopover before returning to his home in Lander. He wasn't expecting to cause bodily harm to an angel but, when he knocks Savanna Mills unconscious while racing to apprehend a purse snatcher, he finds himself enchanted by her silver-blond hair and ensnared in the depths of her haunting gray eyes. He can tell she's interested but, he can also tell she doesn't want to be. Which means, he is only going to have to work harder to win her love. He just doesn't know he'll have to defeat a serial killer in order to do it.
