Although I was initially disappointed that this wasn't a trilogy, that feeling quickly changed as I got sucked into this series. Five books will allow for this amazing High Fantasy series to be gracefully finished.
Awesome job, Mr Miller! I am impatient to read the final book 5. :)
The author, compared to previous books, shortened the chapters in 'Reckoning', which made the entire book fast paced. For someone who is irritated with multiple POVs, the shorter chapters accomplished what Mr Miller hoped for - there was no jarring irritation when POVs switched, just anticipation to continue and find out what happens next.
I will re-read this series in the future and have already recommended it to others.

This story, this book, where to start it continues to amaze and throw curve balls, its MCs are such deep individuals with real goals, the POVs are well placed and the packing of the entire series has been great!!!

Wow. Absolutely amazing sequel to the Defiant
