From the first sentence, this is a western. Set in a fantasy world, yes, but oh man is it a humdinger of a western. Pacey's performance, as usual, was pitch perfect, but I could have done without the soundtrack...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters in the story had great personalities and the interactions between characters were some of the best I've heard.
It took me about half the book to get used to the soundtrack playing in the background. For me it didn't really add anything to the story and I could've done without it just fine, but kudos to trying it. Instead of using soundtracks I think it would've been better if they had added sound effects, and battle sounds during an intense battle. Make it more like an audio drama.
