Inspirational on so many level
This story was so inspirational on the values of family, love, goals, acceptance, and climbing a ladder towards success! I laughed, cried, and reflected on my own personal experiences.

Wow.
This book was incredible - the perfect mixture of educational and inspiring. I’m not sure what exactly I was expecting but this far exceeded any expectations I had. Really lovely book - will be recommending to others.

lying in the CPU unit
first time I saw Patty lying there with all those tubes everything just sticking out of his body. I burst into tears and you told me these words lisa we don't want anybody crying or being negative in this room we want positive energy in this room and you're right Lisa. living with a very negative mother that's all I'm used to. I think the worst about everything . where is you think the best of everything. I wish I could change my ways and think the way you think I'm trying my hardest Lisa! It will be hard to live with everybody in my family that's so negative except for my sister lorrae and her husband Steve. Your book was awesome it taught me a lot. I miss Patty a lot, not a day goes by that he doesn't sneak into my head and I think about him. Grief is an expression that you loved well. being so young his jokes and just everything about him was like perfect you're such a lucky woman to have had a lot of time with him on this Earth anyway. Lisa great book!!! Love always your friend Lisa Jensen. if you're thinking who the heck is this? I'm Steve Lisson's sister-in-law.

Not what I expected, but insightful
This book was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I am drawn to stories of people recovering from tragedies, but a mom with kids dealing with the 'loss' of her husband isn't one that I relate to.
I suppose it was the parallel story of Lisa's role as a senior executive in Canada that intrigued me.
The third aspect of the book ~ Lisa's descriptions of her leadership style and business philosophy ~ was unexpected and, at times, seemed out of place.
Yet it makes sense, if she is writing a book about her journey, that they would be included. Looking back at the title, it does seem to fit. I suppose the chosen audio clip for the preview was so laser focused on the tragedy of her husband's heart attack, that I wasn't expecting the rest. But... still a good read.
I wasn't thrilled with the narration; at times the narrator spoke so fast I actually checked to make sure I hadn't inadvertently selected 2x speed.

Moving and incredibly inspiring.
As a woman in buisness, and also someone who has experienced tremendous loss, Lisa's book spoke to me in so many ways.
