Description

Against all odds, Morgan Carter and his family have endured despite the deteriorating conditions surrounding them. Armed with survivalist tactics, Morgan's crew, alongside their new friends from the recently-liberated DHS camp, have worked together to build a sustainable community. But not all situations can be prepared for. When a massive wildfire threatens their very existence, they must decide: fight or flight?

From the author of the hit Survivalist Series books, Resurrecting Home is an action-packed adventure that depicts the harrowing possibilities of a world gone awry, and the courage it takes to protect what matters most.

The saga continues.

Sarge: "Some people just need killin'" LMAO. I'm very much enjoying the story. Plots continue to be engaging and there is no sign of boring yet. Again a great reference for the way things COULD go down...one way. Each story broadens my mind a little more. Duke is phenomenal at holding the characters. Loving it.

This is book 5

Don't start here, go back to "Going Home" and start at the beginning... fortunately the author doesn't go back and rehash all the back stories, so the book will mean more if read in order. This book does have a natural ending spot, so you won't be forced into reading book 6... if you don't want to continue. I have ranked all the other books in the series a 4. This one didn't quite tip into it for me... I still care for the family and what is happening, and I will probably pre-order the next book again. Just didn't feel like I learned as much this time... or that the story progressed as far... If you have been reading the series and unsure if you want to go on... the last book was a better ending point.
Highlights of this book include fighting a forest fire, barter and the intrusion of families displaced by the fire and looking for a new place.

Continues to be Great!

Would you listen to Resurrecting Home again? Why?

The author has a way of making you fall in love with the characters in the novel. I have a hard time putting down every book in this series including this one. The author just does such a great job writing the story. It is a survivalist series, but the author didn't get over detailed in survival accessories. He is just detailed enough. He has a very good balance when writing which makes this a great story for all types of readers.

Any additional comments?

Duke Fontaine is spectacular. I can not imagine anyone else narrating this series. He has the perfect voice and attitude for the main character Morgan.

another thought provoker

I have enjoyed this series as it is possible we may find ourselves in this situation. I enjoy Sarge taking charge and clarifying the issues. It makes me even more grateful for the conveniences it is so easy to take for granted.

Not as fun as the others

The storyline just wasn't as interesting as the previous books. The only reason I'll purchase the next book, is to give the author the chance to redeem himself. The writing style in all the books so far has been very basic and immature in my opinion. Almost to the point that you, the reader, or listener could assume what the characters will say next.......but........ I've been entertained with the storyline and the path that the books were headed in. Until this book that is.
Just my opinion.

Great Story

It's a great story, The whole series, not just this book. I like how the author incorporates actual knowledge into his fictional story line. The only critique I can think of is that the narrator mispronounces a few words, but nothing major.

Great Story

If you could sum up Resurrecting Home in three words, what would they be?

Man lives on!

What did you like best about this story?

I like that all the things that can go wrong at the end of the world, do go wrong. Even mother nature got involved.

Which character – as performed by Duke Fontaine – was your favorite?

Sarge. By far, the best voice!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If the lights went out right now, what would you do?

Lossing Steam

What did you like best about Resurrecting Home? What did you like least?

Progress of the people in the books, they work together. There is homor, pian and action.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It can keep going on. A lot of things left open.

What does Duke Fontaine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Duke can't be replaced. You get to know each person by the voice he gives them. If like in another series he gets replaced it could ruin it for me.

Could you see Resurrecting Home being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

There has been talk of it. This book so far seems it could be the shortest.

Any additional comments?

I love the series but this one was sloooow. Needed some more action or maybe the way things left off in the last book, I just expected Radon Neagata and Signer to do more. I will give it another listen and keep up with things but I hope the next books moves on some.

Back to a great story flow.

The last few books were a little slow for my taste, more story building and background, tieing up loose ends of the first portion of the series. This book seemed to get back to a flow more like what the first 3 books had, which I prefered. either way, I love the series and I think this gets back to the format I love, and sets up for quite a few interesting situations for the next book. I look forward to it.

Love this author and this series!

These books, aside from being a field manual and general wealth of knowledge, truly embody what it means to be an American. God bless you and your family sir. Thank you and keep them coming.
