Description

Rich Dad’s Guide to Becoming Rich will…

  • Explain why cutting up your credit cards is a short-sighted, quick fix that doesn’t address the underlying problem of bad debt
  • Describe the difference between good debt and bad debt
  • Illustrate how using credit cards to buy liabilities will only make you poor
  • Show why using credit cards responsibly is a first step toward taking control of your financial future
  • Teach you the importance of having your money work for you… so you won’t spend your life working for money.
  • "The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school, but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money… but never learn to have money work for them.” -Robert Kiyosaki

Version courte de ses autres livres

C’est un bon récapitulatif de ses autres livres pour bien s’imprégner de l’état d’esprit mais un brin répétitif du coup.

A average 3 hr audiobook I felt like I wasted a credit on audible

I felt like I wasted a credit it wasn't a infomercial it was a short and average audiobook the narrator was great and easy to listen to it's just that the advice didn't have anything to do with credit credits it was just stories about why so many people end up in bad debt vs good debt. I would save my credit on audible for one of robert kiyosaki other books the abc's is a great one from him.

    What a perfect read!

This is a great addition to the rich dad poor dad series. I saw a lot of complaints from people saying that it’s very repetitive. Repetition is the way that we as humans learn. So I didn’t mind, and in fact, I thought it was a perfect way to reinforce the different lessons from Rich dad poor dad and some of the other books in the series that I’ve read.

Not very dense, some bad advice too

    Narrator is slightly robotic
He seems to just want to separate himself from Dave Ramsey here. There isn't much good advice and some is nonsense or at least not very well explained. Stick to Unfair Advantage, it is the only good one that I have run into so far of his

    Kiyosaki keeps brining insights

This is a great book and short reminder for those who’ve read Rich Dad Poor Dad. My only criticism is that from a Christian standpoint.

There is a statement in the book that makes the case God’s view on money is binary - strive to get money and enjoy life or be poor. (I’m simplifying his statements)

However, the Bible makes it clear - especially in the New Testament - that God’s view is to seek His kingdom first. Money in itself is not bad. Similarly, obtaining money to take care of your family is not bad. And everyone is encouraged to work “so as not to be a burden to others” But Jesus did say “it will be harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, than for a camel to walk through [a small hole in a rock]”.

This is what I was wrestling with when considering the application of the book’s great advice.

    Lacks content.

Main points of book could have been consolidated in fewer chapters.
More story telling than a how-to book. I believe it lacks the content that the title promises.
Original book in the series is much better but that one also has a lot of filler.

    Nothing about credit cards

A lot of fluff about the reasons why most people don't become rich and so little about the subject of the book.

    Advice that makes sense!

Gives great advice that makes sense. It makes you look yourself in the mirror and hold yourself accountable for every aspect of your financial well being and life.

As someone who hates being cheap and cutting corners I appreciate this perspective.
