Once the Rift Magus, I was reborn as Lucian Eldraine, with my knowledge intact but my strength greatly diminished. Through trials and effort, I quickly reclaimed some of my lost powers—and even found some that were new.

I’ve also had time to make allies and enemies both, the latter of which have become hungry for vengeance and can call upon demons and worse, and won’t rest until they see me destroyed.

Yet amid these threats lies the opportunity to gain wealth, power, and influence, and I intend to claim all three.

Because I am the Rift Magus still, and I will rise once again, shattering any obstacle in my way.

This is categorically the worst audio balanced audio I have ever heard. One second I have it on full volume the literal next word with no warning needs to be at 10% volume to be bearable. I have to just assume that this was released without doing some software pass to balance the levels.

Okay about the story, it felt really short compared to the previous two felt like a lot less happened, and what did happen feels less important. That said powers are cool and progress is made. Mc really steps into the light makes some moves. However honestly this really just feels like a setup for the next more exciting book.

i get that you want to make money but maybe you could progress the plot a little more. I like the story i just hate that many authors have decided to put there work out like a web novel. I think I won't be continuing this series because there is no sense of satisfaction when listening 8 hours gets you no further in the story.
