I loved the frankness of this book and it felt like I was in the middle of the journey as he told the story. It would’ve been even better if Rod Stewart himself told the story but it was pretty cool just to hear about the grass roots he came from two areas today and how he felt about it all as it unfold it. Kind of cool how he connected with all kinds of now famous in their own right musicians across the pond. It’s like putting together a really big puzzle. Thanks for sharing Rod!

Great book

Playing with kick-ass musicians, partying in giant mansions, driving fast cars and shagging babes - That's the life for me. Alas, I am just a plumber. However after listening to Roddy's autobiography I did get the sense that he isn't a total wanker. He genuinely seems grateful for his success and the way his life has turned out. And most of all he loves the music!

The book should have been read by Rod Stewart himself. He has a very distinctive voice that is annoyingly not that of the narrator.
