This was a decent audiobook with an enjoyable storyline and fun cast of characters. I found it a little predictable, especially the ending. I generally enjoyed the narrator in her natural voice, but did not like her portrayal of men.

Loved the story, but not so much the way it was performed. IMO, the narrator sounded bored most of the time and I found the voices/accents she gave the characters were odd and sometimes grating.

I was not a big fan of the narrator. She is not good at differentiating voices except through accent, and often the way she reads a sentence doesn't make sense (e.g. a singsong lilt in a serious sentence). A lot of dialogue sounds like teenagers trying to be sarcastic. She also made some reading errors (like omitting the word "not" once that flipped the meaning of a sentence)

As for the book? It was mostly well written. I like how the backstory come out organically rather than an infodump, this meant that often we learned why people had behaved certain ways after the fact, when their history came out.

Great book! I loved the characters, the humor and the view inside this futuristic universe. I like the author's style and I will definitely keep reading this series of books and will no doubt enjoy many more.

The story is so good that I've read it multiple times. I really wanted to enjoy the audiobook but I couldn't finish it because the narrator's voices for the male characters were torture to listen to.

Read this book but be prepared to read the rest of the series. It’s good. I think I almost cried while driving listening to it.

I really enjoyed the story, and overall the narration was engaging, however the way she did main male characters voice drove me insane. It sounded like he had been hit in the balls, or was an 80 year old smoker, none of which are preferable.

I love this book but the narrator is terrible at men’s voices. They all sound like they are hoarse. No men actually sound like that and it is very grating. Frustrating because I love this series.
