Description
As the 2008 recession hit, Jen quickly found herself with a newly purchased home, a fading freelance business, and an alcoholic boyfriend. To avoid slipping into an even deeper depression, she took to the streets. Great story!
Loved the story, but the reader was REALLY tough to get used to listening to. For a while I thought it might have been a computer generated voice, but there was the odd inflection that indicated it was a person reading. Had to focus a little more than usual to understand the emotional content... got used to it about 3-4 chapters in.

Frustrating to listen to.
The only reason this book motivated me to run was because I became so frustrated listening to it I had to find a way to deal with it.
While I finished the book, the narrator sounded like an AI robot. I found there was little emotion, no connection. I had high hopes for the story itself but by Chapter 6 and hearing her justify another toxic relationship, I was over it. I expected the story to explain or connect her love of running to the trials she went through, but the story was not that.
