Description

supernatural horror in modern world.

as a world building novel, this work has a nice mix of action and prose. the pacing was good and characters were decently fleshed out. the description of the horrors and the outcomes of running into them were just the right mix of lurid and unknowable to be scary and enticing.

overall I can recommend this but the narrator needs to be more emotive; his make voices were decently distinct but his female character sounded more like a generic female rather than a military officer. in my experience, female military officers are twice as hard as their make counterparts.
