À propos de cet audio

Sarah is based on the true-life story of my mother. Sarah’s story is the second book in the Sewards' family memoirs. The first book, Rachel: A Life Interrupted, is based on my grandmother’s life story.

When I wrote Rachel’s memoir, I received many questions concerning Sarah. Rachel lived a very challenging life, and Sarah was the child who supported Rachel steadfastly through Rachel’s childbearing years. Children do not choose their birth parents or their environment. Just like Sarah, most children adjust and fight for survival; they use their best coping skills acquired from the family and their environment in their formative years.

Sarah had a loving older sister and a charismatic father who gave her security, love, and confidence in her early years. A simple form of Christianity, her sister, and her father directed the decisions that secured her survival during the challenging periods of her young life. Follow Sarah’s journey as she tries to break the cycles of poverty, missed education, and promiscuity. Sarah decided to break those cycles through faith, a stable family life, and steadfast determination. Could Sarah succeed?
