I loved this book! I kept on smiling to myself at how sweet the story is. A perfect read if you’re looking for something that shows true love.

Great storyline

The characters were flat. Both individuals sound like great people but there was a lack of depth to them.

Plot surrounded Samantha’s mom, which was a different take on a romance book and shows glimpses of caregiver burn out.

There was no build up to a climax with the leads, which I am okay with it (I think?).

It felt like everything at the end was too good to be true. How Hank came in at the end, shared wisdom and acted like Xavier’s good karma.

Abby Jimenez is a magician. She creates such great chemistry between her MCs. If you’re looking for a heart warming book that has emotional swings from tragic life experiences to sweet loving moments, this is your next book. The narrators are the cherries 🍒 on top making this listen perfection.

All the feels

It was a nice story, i work on a medicine unit in the a hospital which sees a large amount of patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, so it didn’t feel like an escape for me. I did not enjoy the narcissist comments because it’s such a thrown around word these days and it’s actually a diagnosis. So maybe those two things just threw me off from loving the book, but it just fell a bit flat for me.

I felt all the emotions - laughed, cried, HEART ACHED ughhh such a good book! the main character is the best book boyfriend ever. highly recommend. this is one of my fav books ever from Abby Jimenez
