It was a good read! The story reveals a multitude of secrets, but at the end I find that everything that happens is a bit... far-fetched. There are novels where the story transports us and where we are happy to have been able to see a small part of the characters' lives unfold on the pages. And there are other stories, like this one, where we feel that it came out of nowhere and where the "coincidences" end up making us roll our eyes.
Despite everything, I will continue with the 2nd and final volume of this duology!
P.S. The more I think about it, the more the atmosphere reminds me of Fable, by Adrienne Young!
