Histoire
Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia. Fortunately, it was the right name to know. Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald.

Histoire
He was the Herald of Shalia that married a demoness, invited hundreds of Arachne to live in his territory, and married a princess of Zira all in the same week. All while securing peace and trade agreements with the two largest countries on the continent. Herald Frost wasn’t merely a deviant herald that laid with demihumans. He was a highly capable deviant herald that laid with demihumans.

Histoire
Sebastian Frost was a man with an interesting reputation. He’d killed 12 giants, eight heroes, a duke, and even a prince. But nobody ever talked about any of that. All they talked about was the deviant, disgusting, detestable Herald of Shalia that shamelessly laid with elves. That was because in the strange world based on game mechanics Frost found himself in, laying with elves was somehow treated like laying with animals. Naturally, they weren’t calling him Herald Frost the giant killer....

"Dude! It finally came!" My roommate barely withheld his excitement as he barreled into the living room of our apartment with a package in his hand. "Check it out, Jacob." He smiled as he tore at the brown paper surrounding his purchase. As he ripped the covering off the package, bits and pieces scattered all across the floor of the living room like confetti. For a second, I thought about lecturing Todd about not making a mess of our apartment, but who was I kidding? This place was already a shithole. At least some half-assed confetti would make it feel a little livelier.

The last thing I expected was to gain the spells of the woman in my bed. Hell, I didn't even know magic existed until I'd cast a spell that morning. Then a beautiful teacher from a magical academy told me I could become the universe's most powerful mage. To get there, I need to become stronger. I need to ace all my examinations. Whether they were a snake-haired gorgon, a colorful slime woman, or a 15 feet tall Oni, they were free to live peacefully in Pluma Territory. For many of the creatures, living peacefully was something they never dared even dream of, so it was only natural that they traveled from all over the continent to reach his territory. If only the humans would let them. Sometimes it was guards in a neighboring territory killing them for sport, sometimes it was a village stealing all of their supplies, and sometimes it was slavers attempting to profit.

Description
Cole is the most powerful witch to ever be born. Except, he’s a man, and there has never been a male witch.
Now, Cole is stuck in the Devil’s Academy full of evil women who want to destroy him. To survive, he’ll have to perform a dark ritual that enslaves the beautiful witches to him.
They’ll hate serving a man, of course, but that just makes the conquest over their bodies, minds, and souls that much sweeter.

Extremely Well-Narrated
The book was exciting to read and full of vivid descriptions to entice one's imagination. I only wish there was a bit more suspense, worry, and uncertainty to the read; despite the author's efforts the main character came across as invincible in many ways. Maybe it's just me and my reading style but I would have loved to be convinced that all hope is lost and be pleasantly surprised afterwards.

Its decent but not Logans best work!
Coming to review from book 4, no spoilers.
Well it’s a pretty good story but ill be stopping with book 4, the overall plot gets to be a bit tedious, it feels as if the author gives too much away too quick and keeps leading you on the same plodding trail, perhaps that’s a result of the MC always being at the school, he does go off on short missions/tests/trials but always ends back at the school which I find to be extremely boring considering the author paints such an interesting universe that you never really get to experience. Also the love scenes do drag on and I’m not a fan of the girls calling him master and Sir constantly, also its off putting about the absolute control like they are just puppets, the thing is that’s not how it was in the first couple books which was better imo, it starts to switch in book three. For example: YOU don't C_M until I tell you can C_M, Okay master, okay Sir. And pretty every scene is exactly like that over and over, its pretty Much 24/7 Dom with a puppet. It becomes worse near the end of book 4, like the girls are just meat puppets who need permission to do anything, I get that having control over someone could be interesting but the author goes way over the top. I can only imagine how cringey book 5 will be
Someone compared this story to Harry Potter, and honestly its pretty accurate. Although the MC become’s quite powerful
Don’t get me wrong the story is good but there isn’t enough there to over come the stuff I don’t like about the story, this will be the first series from Logan I will not finish, no fault to the author tho, its good he tries different things, this series will be for some people but it’s not for me.

Meh
The male narrator sounds like he's trying to sexually assault you with his voice. Every word is angsty and aggressive. Every. Fucking. Word. I'm 45 mins in don't know if I'm even going to finish it. Female narrator is great! Story is kinda lame. I am forusre not the target audience. Switched review from 2 starts to 1.

Loving The DARKER Tone
Logan really enjoying this new series! With a Darker MC and Submissive Girls taking the cake. Hope/would expect this series to have a very long life!
Christoper Boucher I am enjoying your narration of this series so far! I know past books that you have narrated your narration could really suck me out of the immersion of the story. The reason behind this for me is I couldn’t always tell based on your voice if you were voicing the MC or just doing general narrative of the story because your voice usually sounds so similar if not the same for both. Just my opinion.
Jessica Threat great as always! Can’t wait for more!

Lazy Writing and a Waste of Time
A misleading 4.7 approval rating is the reason I have trust issues with Audible.
The best part about this book was the performances which came across as a bit forced. At times the MC sounded a bit phlegmy and in need of decongestant. I felt for the guy and wondered if he just wanted to get through this gig as quickly as possible and put it behind him.
As for the rest of it I would sum it up by saying it was a lazy attempt in every way that mattered. Elements of the story background borrowed unashamedly from the works of other authors. For example the animated paintings in the Harry Potter series were incorporated into the story as well as elements from pretty much every magical academy novel ever written. The story centers around the MC and a class of adults behaving like juveniles while making their way through a literal preschool. The story explains why the MC is in preschool but gives no explanation as to why the other adults were there. Speaking of the other adults in the story, little to no effort was given to the supporting characters' development. The author tries to mix things up a bit by combing elements of WICCA and the more garish stereotypical elements of Satanism. Wiccans are bound to take offense as the author presents WICCA and Satanic worship as elements of the same thing. Elements including the torture and mutilation of animals as well as human sacrifice. The most cringe worthy parts were the fumbling attempts at the sex scenes. The vocabulary used to describe such was as unimaginative as it was crude. On the plus side the cover art was nice.

Children having sex in adult bodies.
Need I say more? The performance was adequate, and Threet definitely takes the cake. I can't decide if Boucher is a good fit.
What truly rubs me the wrong way is the worldbuilding and characters. OMG
EVERYONE is an immature horndog seemingly from middle-school. Actually I take that back, My middle-school was more mature than this.
EVERYONE is an immature horndog with the emotional intelligence of pre-schoolers.
The banter is trite, immature, ridiculous. Vocabulary is basic and very much modern despite being seemingly in the victorian era, Expect phrases like "you smell what I'm stepping in?" World is even more ridiculous and unexplained. Everything seems hopeless until 10 seconds from the deadline when everything drops into place. Dialogue is like this:
"You did this."
"No I didn't"
"But I SAW you do it!"
"Screw you!"
"That's what I did to your mom last night!"
If you love this kind of dribble, then buy this book now. You will be in heaven.
For everyone else, get the book to satisfy your "curiosity," then return it as the book deserves.

Interesting book
Story was interesting. Performance was a bit forced but enjoyable. Hopefully the next book the author was able to buy a thesaurus. Yes this an book is for mature audiences but some of the mature parts sounded like they where written by a teenager trying to impress younger teenagers with how many crude word he knows. There is time for such things but in my opinion that is a lazy way of writing an intimate scene. Still I actually liked this one and hope the author’s writing matures a bit more in the next book.

Not your traditional MC!
There’s plenty of intrigue in this book. It’s reminiscent of Harry Potter but...darker. Think you know what the MC will do because it’s practically a trope? Not with Cole. I eagerly await more but in the meantime I’m goin to have to read the next volumes because there is so much more to learn!

Juvenile and Boring
I wish I could say something good about the book before ripping it apart but nothing comes to mind. The hero is a douchebag with no endearing personality traits and will have you cheering on his adversaries and wishing he will die soon and painfully.
If you are considering this book, I'd suggest you give it a hard pass. It is not worth your time! There are so many others like it that you will enjoy much more! This book is the first I've listened to by Logan Jacobs and I did buy another from another series, so I guess Logan will have another chance to win me over but if I had not done so I'd avoid anything by this author. It has zero creativity and makes me wonder how crap like this ever gets published in the first place.
The 4.6 rating it had at the time of my review is very misleading! I'd bet people were paid to leave good reviews because there is no way anyone could enjoy this.

I’m not a professional author nor do I claim to have the best opinion on the subject. However, there are a few problems that I have with this book’s narrative and pacing. The protagonist suffers from your typical protagonist’s plot convenient amnesia which compels him to excel at his studies in hopes that if he succeeds he’ll find out who he is. That’s a decent reason albeit a little cliche. However, it’s a little disturbing how quickly he just goes with the flow and submits to the creepy women in cloaks just moments after running away from them in the opening scene. Once in his first class it’s exciting to see him fail at first because there is no way in hell he should be able to excel with no prior knowledge on the subject. Yet after this first class, Cole simply steamrolls his way to the finish whilst the other witches in his class all fall behind and essentially fail for seemingly no reason. The thing I least liked about this book details some spoilers so if you haven’t read it yet you just need to look at my rating to guess where I stand, but if you’re fine with it keep reading. After Cole miserably suffers through his first class he suddenly becomes the top student and becomes full of himself as he seeks every opportunity to flaunt his newly acquired skills. He then stumbles upon a slave spell that makes the bonded slaves immortal. After seeing it in a book in the library, he decides to find every copy of the spell he can find and burn them after committing it to memory. Which is fine I suppose. He learns the spell and burns them to prevent the other witches from getting a copy of it so that he could taunt them with power and have a hold over them for the final exam. Unfortunately, he is extremely short sighted and pretty stupid to be honest. His tunnel vision is so tight that for a moment I thought it was intentional on the author’s part, but quickly enough I realized that he too must be plagued by the same tunnel vision. Not only does the poor guy not even consider that there could be magics out there with the potential to repair the texts he damaged let alone other works that depict alternate takes on the spell he attempted to destroy all traces of, but he doesn’t even manage to think that any of the teachers could be harboring a copy of the book containing the spell as well! Then this wise guy has the balls to waltz over to the other women in his class and brag about the spell he found that grants immortality to servants so long as their master lives before they were desperately in need of it. Even then most of them hadn’t heard of it and none of them knew for sure if it even worked. However, not once do any of them search for an alternative and end up completely breaking character by submitting to Cole as his slaves hoping to live past their final exam. Speaking of, the first half of the book went fairly quickly yet rather smoothly all things considered, but then the pace ramps up seemingly out of nowhere as suddenly we’re thrust into the final exam! It’s as if the author lost patience and interest in his own book and just wanted to jump to the orgy sex scene he was itching to write.. Also, a bit of a nit pick, but I found it kind of perturbing that the ONLY witch depicted as “ugly” because she was blind and scarred was brutally killed because she refused to join the stupid man’s group of stupid witches. Not to mention her death felt like a massive waste. She made it through the whole book and all of her professors’ challenges including the teleportation practice in class near the final, yet when she falls down a pit at the end everyone suddenly forgets that they know how to teleport and wait for her to get eaten by an army of the baby claw spider monster from Toy Story. I’m mostly bummed out because I was excited at the start for an interesting new take on a darker Hogwarts but ended up with a power fantasy riddled with plot holes glued to the back of a dumb protagonist that never has to deal with the consequences of his actions. I mean, he’s CONSTANTLY stealing stuff, breaking into places he shouldn’t be in, and worst of all ANNOUNCES HIS PRESENCE WHENEVER HE FEELS ALONE. It’s one thing to be cocky and dumb. It’s another to call out “HELLOOOO?!!” When all alone at night in a place that’s OBVIOUSLY OFF LIMITS in a crazy strict school where something even as simple as showing up a minute late is considered worthy cause to burn you to death on the spot for being weak. I guess I’m just a little unhappy with the protagonist and his plans. His plan of conquest was based completely on weak information and assumptions about things he has little knowledge about or control over, he constantly puts himself in risky situations for no reason and somehow gets off the hook for free, and he constantly overestimates his abilities and intelligence because of it. The women all also have the same personalities except for the headmistress and the single ugly witch that died because she refused to go back on her nature and decide to become soul bonded to the protagonist like the rest and also happens to be ugly. The rest of the witches do a complete 180 right at the end for no reason too! One minute they hate his guts and wish he’d just die so they don’t have to spend another minute with him, the next they’re all begging for a spot in bed with him because they’re all too stupid to study or teleport on command when their friend is getting eaten alive. Too bad for you, should have just sucked him off like we did and then you wouldn’t have to die a gruesome death! Ugh.. the more I write the less I like this book. All things considered, it was decent, and I’m curious how the next books will go, but I’m not expecting much. I wish the author the best and hope they peruse their career as I remain hopeful that they’ll learn from this book and create better content in the future. Who knows? Maybe somebody actually will read this review and get some use out of it! Either way, sorry for ranting and wasting your time. Best of luck to you all.

poor male voice acting, dogshit writing
Mc-edgelord acts like a douche and unrealisticly gets away with it. everything untill the second quiz could be only seen as passable. everything after is basically a 4chan fanfic on the front page of r/menwritingwomen.
also all the beasts having the same fucking growl when they're acting tough. Fucking laughably annoying.
If all the book by this author are the same, then none of them are worth reading
