À propos de cet audio

Ellen Trawton is running away from it all. She hates her job, she doesn't love the aristocratic man to whom she is engaged, and her relationship with her controlling mother is becoming increasingly strained. So Ellen leaves London, fleeing to her aunt's cottage in Connemara. Cutting ties with London society, Ellen gives in to Ireland's charm and warmth, thinking her future may lie where so much of her past has been hidden. Her imagination is soon captured by the ruins of a lighthouse where, five years earlier, a young mother died in a fire. The ghost of the young wife, Caitlin, haunts the nearby castle. Unable to move on, she watches her husband and children, hoping they might see her and feel her love once more. But she doesn't anticipate her husband falling in love again...

Ce que les critiques en disent

Nobody does epic romance like Santa Montefiore. Everything she writes, she writes from the heart.. (Jojo Moyes, author of The Girl You Left Behind.

every now and then you download a book without noticing its a silly romance. This book started with some moments of interest but the main character is less formed than a 13 year old and yet she's supposed to be 33. She's immature, has no character and nothing to recommend her other than a pretty face, and the story sinks from there. The narration has moments that just grate on yoyr ears when the narrator portrays young children...she sounds so shrill and like a man trying to sound like a woman . that and the silly "romance" parts I had to fast forward past. basically silly empty headed pretty girl with no life at 33 goes to Ireland, meets a handsome troubled man who calls the shots, they get involved rapidly and he is all she can think of and in yhe end she is pregnant and marrying him. This book sets women back to the 1950's.

Insipid and silly.
