Not a travel guide
I bought this book to listen to in hopes it would teach me and assist me in planning my upcoming trip to Italy. I ended up returning it. You will learn nothing from this book. It reads like a fiction novel. About 40% of it is the author saying random italian words. If you aren’t familiar with italian food you’ll understand almost none of what the author is saying. Frivolous flowery language, talking about the colors of peoples skin as ‘creamy porridge’. This book could be 1/3 of the length. Repeatedly getting cappuccinos 5 times in each chapter and describing wallpaper and the smell of the air. Not what I was expecting.
