Chode the troll constantly drops his weapon and forgets about major quests that are never mentioned again. There are no stakes since he can resurrect and the author is unwilling to let anything bad happen to any NPC with a name. You could care about what happens to the game itself but it is still literally just a game. All in all not very compelling

Nothing particularly stands out about the story. I didn’t get into the character, I really tried as I was brought here from the dungeon crawler Carl series.
