the only thing that bothered me even after I found out excitedly that the Banneck in thos story is the same one as the short story "storm lord" by the same author. and they are cousins and such. was that the 3vents do not line up, (spilers ahead)

in storm lord several of Jonas's command squad die in thr taking of goulan. and he still hates his cousin amd does not know what has happened to him. but here they have their reconciliation of sorts and the command squad members are still alive? not sure if I missed some detail or not.

but in all I loved these books. guard are my favorite and I love guard stories. and characters being apperant across books is even better :)
