It wasn’t mind blowing but it was a good read. I like how easy it was to understand and follow, not overloading you with information a lot of fantasy does. I liked the romance and tension between the characters. I hope the next books are just as good. One con is it’s pretty short since it’s only one book in a series. The audio is kinda weird with the pen scratches and the voice is interesting but I actually grew to like them. I’d recommend.

I’ll admit the beginning was a bit slower but once I finished this book I binged the whole series. If you’re into romantic fantasy’s I highly recommend this series!

I really hoped to like this book but it just wasn't it for me... I had a hard time following it. I'm glad I now know it wasn't worth it

I loved the narration. Great story but I didn’t feel the detailed sexual parts were needed or added much to the story ~ maybe I feel this way because my 12 yr old is reading it also? Looking forward to book 2.

Honestly, I loved this book and all it’s quirks. The pen scratches kind of give you a closer look inside the main character’s head. I think they voice is a little high and breathy but it sounds more like a person and less a robot which I prefer anyway. The story itself was very interesting (in a positive way.)
It was original and didn’t really piggy back off of other stories. I liked the romance and darker aspects of the book.
I won’t spoil anything for anyone but this definitely is my new favourite book.

Shatter Me is an incredible listen! Kate Sims’s does a perfect job of representing Juliette’s interior thoughts and struggles, she shows the pain Juliette experienced through her voice. The story was very well written with a strong plot. Tahereh Mafi definitely did a remarkable job on Shatter Me. The improvements, I think the characters could have had some more personality, more weaknesses and fears, more feelings of uncertainty due to the dystopian world. But over all, charming and heartfelt.

Not only is the narration perfect in every way, the writing is inexplicably brilliant. I felt every emotion, every word and every repeating explanation in my bones. The way it is read is beyond perfection and I can’t wait to read the next book!
