Life in a remote fishing village in the middle of a civil war is neither safe nor inspiring. So, when an opportunity comes along for village girl Lynn to be kidnapped and enslaved by Darren, a ruthless pirate queen, she takes full advantage of it. The bones were maybe good? I think? but it was so erratically written, i felt like i was hearing the unfinished chaos of a deeply confused child/adult??? Yeah yeah pirates and fantasy worlds aside, the writing style made it near impossible to actually suspend disbelief in order to enjoy the story. I think a large part of that is that it felt wildly rushed, and so things that could have made sense felt really out of place? A very bizarre listen…. Could have been awesome but i really can’t recommend it at all…
