Patrick Barlow and his tech-savvy new friends Abby and H, like many other recent high school grads, are using their screens as a window to their future. Their journey begins when the trio is accepted into the established yet ominous research and development laboratory called the Godden Institute. The project they commit to becomes more of a door than a window, as the allure of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence to heal the sick opens to a world of digital slavery.
