Humanity has made several technological leaps in the 200 years since the Apollo missions of the 1960's allowing us to colonize the Solar System and our nearby neighbor, Alpha-Centauri. As expansion grew, so did the ambitions of certain people. The leaders of the colonies in the Jupiter System, wishing to seize control, started a campaign of aggression against the other colonies and on Earth itself. In response, the Sol Alliance was born.

The colonies of Luna, Mars, and New Earth banded together under the leadership of the Earth military to suppress the aggression. After a long enduring conflict, the aggression was stopped, and the colonies were placed under one government. Years after the Jovian Aggression, a new threat appears, also wanting control, a group of Senators from New Earth seek to use the mistakes of the Jovian's as lessons and wage their war from the shadows.

Captain Jonathan Pierce, blind since birth and a hero of the Jovian aggression, is recalled to active duty after the Alliance Heavy Cruiser 'Freedom' goes missing. Pierce, along with this first officer, Commander Allison Jones, and his new command level assistant Veronica Valentine, must uncover the truth behind the missing cruiser, but answers only raise more questions. Their search for the 'Freedom' leads them to discover a more diabolical plot hidden in the shadows.
