Ellen Boehm, a single mom from St. Louis, Missouri, appeared devoted to her children. But in reality, she was unequipped for motherhood, financially strapped, and desperate. It was an interesting story but getting all of the details and then hearing it again, almost word for word, later in the book was a bit redundant.

it wasn't too long and drawn out. it kept me want interested. Although I did think there would be more to say about Mental illness regarding "Ellen"

A difficult story to read but very interesting. The fatphobia in the story was almost as hard to take as some of the subject matter. So be aware

I enjoyed the book but a person has to wonder what makes some people tick. I couldn't fathom killing my children, little own killing them for money

a bit drawn out , the narrator had a very mechanical voice that was hard to listen to. there were plenty of chapters that could probably be left out . But not a total waste of time.
