When I get ditched at the airport right before a holiday trip to the Bahamas, spending Christmas at home alone isn't all that appealing. So impulsively hopping on a plane to the most Christmasy place on earth seems like a good idea. At least until I realize I've got no plan, no place to stay, and nothing but beach clothes. Luckily, Arlo, the handsome B&B owner, comes to my rescue.

Christmas Falls is supposed to be a quick holiday escape, but the town is just so dang cute. And so is Arlo. There's something about the older man that draws me in and makes me want to stay a bit longer, and then a bit longer.

Through sleigh rides, ornament-making, and handling a winter storm that strands guests, the Gingerbread Cottage B&B, Christmas Falls, and more importantly Arlo begin to feel like home.

The holidays never end in Christmas Falls—but can I say the same for me and Arlo?

This is such a cozy cinnamon bun of a read. Absolutely precious. I loved it so much in print immediately got it on audio and OMG it did NOT disappoint. The narrators voices for Emerson and Arlo are DREAMY AF. 😍😍😍

It’s a quick brain melty listen. Just pure comfort read.

So it opens with Emerson, our mystery writer, trying to win back his GF at the airport and board a flight to the Bahamas, except she’s already moved on and he’s got nothing to look forward to but an empty apartment for the holidays. So he takes a chance and boards a 49$ commuter flight to Christmas Falls, at the very least it can be research for his book.

But upon arriving (in shorts 🩳 no less) there’s no rental cars, and all the hotels are booked… except resident B&B owner and smeggsy lumberseggsual Arlo has had a cancellation and takes Emerson in and drives him back to his sweet Gingerbread Cottage.

Emerson is blown away by the man’s generosity and kindness (AND HOTNESS!) and falls head over heels for the quaint cottage. He easily falls into step with the routine of the B&B owner as if he belongs there and the UST is unreal. The flirting is SO CUTE. The domesticity and fluff OFF THE CHARTS, until Arlo, the man who puts everyone else first finally decides to take something for himself and asks Emerson out for a date and properly seduces him. *WINK WONK*

Jacki adds quite a bit of sauce to the equation here. 🥵🤌🏻

There’s so many quaint christmassy bits as Emerson and Arlo figure out their forever and it wraps up so sweetly.

A must listen.
