If you're a fan of primal hunter, defiance of the fall or system apocalypse then this is a great audiobook for you.

Only the one out right now with the next to be release on Kindle soon and I will be purchasing it to continue the read.

The story started off a bit Shakey as most of these newer litrpg books do but the writer came into his own at the end. The book has many of the same tropes litrpg is known for and does a decent job differentiating the systems out.

I am hoping that the series steps a bit away from tropes and into its own world once established. Anyway sorry for the long review! Hope you enjoy the listen as much as I did.

Great LitRPG book

The writing is very good. The story drew me in, and the MC is very relatable i.e. just a normal guy, except he doesn't whine too much. His power set and magic tinckering is really interesting, exactly what I wanted out of a book named "Spell Weaver". There are just a couple of minor annoyances though:
* MC is mostly competent, except for a couple of instances where he did stupid things out of the blue
* There is a big arc related to cultivators, which pretty much includes every trope of a very tropey xianxia story, and the narrator couldn't even get the correct pronunciation... if I want to listen to a xianxia story, I wouldn't have picked a book named "Spell Weaver". Luckily this doesn't seem to be a permanent fixture of the story.

Great start to a series with a lot of potential. A good amount of world building and advanced even if the start is a bit slow.
