Witches & mages
I enjoyed listening to this book about a witch who is rescued from a jail cell and ends up at the school her parents had attended.

Very fun and entertaining
Not a huge fan of the sexual tension between all the male characters. But the story line is fun and I love the main character. She has a lot of spunk!

Narrator killed this for me.
Narrator is way to old for this book, the main character is a lot younger. couldn't finish this one. it bugged me sooooo much.

Book 1 in the series.
This story is a reverse harem story . Heroine is Stevie.
Stevie weds to find out what is going on and why . Black Magic is following her. She was warned away from an academy by her mother. Her parents were killed . It seems Tarot cards are randomly showing up showing themselves to Stevie.
Stevie has no choice but to go to the Academy , a dark Mag framed Stevie for murdering her best friend. Once she gets to the Academy that where things really take off
The performance of Nicole Poole and Stephen Dexter was fantastic. The way they did each character was great. The voices are strong and addictive

Snarky heroine ftw.
Our MC is pretty delightful, especially as voiced by Nicole. She's strong, clever, and funny. She does have a few whiney monologues, but as a character she's not tragic or emotionally weak like many other RH heroines.
The boys seem to fit the standard "types" too cleanly for my liking, but they are independently interesting and well developed.
My only pet peeve with the audiobook is the mismatch of character presentation by the narrators. Nicole's version of Stevie was energetic and fun while Stephen's version was more meek/weak. If I only heard his take on her I wouldn't have liked her. If a book is narrated by more than one person, I need them to have a consensus on how they are going to present each character.

It’s not you it’s me
Ok I really wanted to like this book. Interesting premise, well written, engaging strong lead, all the things I like in books. However, it is giving off reverse haram vibes and with 3 hrs left I called it quits. I just really don’t like when the main character isn’t into one person. I have a hard enough time with books where it takes the lead time to figure out who she likes but I can’t do several interests, nothing wrong with it just not my cup of tea. So you should really give this book a credit unless you want more defined relationships like me.

awesome story
I really like the story so far. it's well written and thought out. The only issue I had was the female narration.
her voice cones across as 30 yr old pack a day smoker.

If an audiobook was a cursed email chain
This is a dumpster fire in terms of production quality but the story is interesting.
The female voice actor needs to be played at .9 speed other wise it sounds like google translate reading and even then the beginning Im not 100% sure if it was human read. Once you get a couple chapters in she sounds better or you just get used to the cursed half human half Alexa sound.
The male voice actor doesn't read the male voices unless the chapter is from a male perspective so good luck trying to reconsile that. Plus he over emphasizes everything which is a delight to listen to.
I genuinely love this audiobook but I promise you there is nothing quality about it but the actual story. It was well written and interesting but the true blessing is how bad everything else is.

Loved it!
I like magic fantasy but having studied "real world" magical systems some, it appears to me that most magical fantasy authors have only studied only other fantasy. The Tarot is well known enough I thought this might have some depth, even if the author had never attempted magic. I was not disappointed. Good writing, mysteries, plot twists, characters. A fun read. Looking forward to the sequel!

The Struggle
Overall story line is okay but the audio and bits of the writing style had me cringing. Not to mention the narrator sounding like Siri and Alexa. It also has several elements that our very similar to other books that have me wondering how much of the story is just a spin off of other books

Arcana comes with a surprise or three
What can I say about the book except that I loved it! I was so engrossed with the tale that I just couldn’t stop listening. The narration was absolutely perfect and I loved how the narrators both changed the voices so that you can actually follow with which character was speaking!

Pretty good story.
Story line was very good. An easy listen while driving or cleaning. But the narrator was horrific! Sounded like Siri reading a book to me. Not good. If it is a series I would try another book, IF there was a different narrator.

Just can’t
Male narrator tries to sound too intense and sensual, to the point it’s annoying and does a horrible job at the female voice.. I was trucking along good until I got to the headmaster meeting like chapter 14 I think.. her whole speech about her parents and the bike trip to the desert.. a bit ridiculous.. killed the whole story right then.. so this is DNF for me.. not sure what the other reviewers listened to.. could have been good..
