I would recommend this novel to anyone looking to get into the dark side of Star Wars. I really enjoyed the horror twist on the genre.

the book is fairly shallow but very entertaining. little to no development in characters, but entertaining to have on in the background.

This is definitely a slow burn, but once it picks up, it is a great book, kind of a new territory for Star Wars, the best way I can put it is Star Wars meets The Walking Dead.

When rumblings of the acolyte started, this is what I kind of expected, or at least something around the same lines as this book, maybe if they had paid attention here, the acolyte wouldn’t have been the mess we ended up with.

Books, like this are the proof that, the expanded universe, if used well, can be a great source of inspiration for the current creatives at Lucasfilm, hope they do their homework next time

Great story . Schreiber’s prose really compliments the Sith universe, creepy and almost scary. The narrator has a great cadence yet with an eerie raspy quality. The music and sound FX just pull you into another world . Definitely one of my favourite stand alone novels. Despite the negative feedback in regards to “Death Trooper s” , I found that one equally enjoyable especially when it comes to descriptions of open dark places. 5 stars for Joe Schreiber.

Very mediocre. Didn't add to the star wars universe at all. this book was just an excuse to add zombies to star wars and did nothing for either the zombie genre or star wars genre

I finished listening to the story only to allow me to complete an honest review. I’ve listened to about 39 Star Wars books and this is the 1st negative review I’ve left. The book is a zombie story with little focus on the Jedi/Sith or the force. Do yourself a favour and skip this one.

Zombie book… not Star Wars book

It felt like one of those cheesy horror films that was just constantly making things go wrong simply for the sake of making things go wrong. Not at all gratifying and had very little triumph or relief. It got to the point where I kept saying 'seriously, again?' nearly every scene.
