À propos de cet audio

Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé - according to his text - has forgotten about the wedding.

Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight.

At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.

The notorious Hollywood actor is starring in a movie based on the town’s infamous murder. When he’s not on set, Shaw hovers at the garage, watching as they build his custom motorcycle and irritating her with his handsome smile. He was supposed to leave once filming wrapped and go back to his fancy life, not buy the house next door.

But Shaw might regret that purchase once Presley’s ex-fiancé returns, bringing with him a war between old rivals that could burn both their houses down.

This was a fun book out of the series so far. It was a lot different from the pervious two books. I felt this one step back a little bit from the biker gang aspect, though this series already isn't very biker heavy.

I'm normally not a huge fan of actor tropes, but I enjoyed it. Some moments felt a little bit too unrealistic especially with a very famous actor just wondering around Clifton Forge and only 1 photo was exposed to the press. I liked how our heroine wasn't secretly head over heels fan-girling over our hero. They both acting maturely EXCEPT for one scene which made me roll my eyes. I just hate how some characters quickly assume and jump to conclusion when obviously that's not what happened. Please use your common sense and communication skills, PLEASE.

So far, I do prefer the first two books in the series only. I'm not sure how the rest of the series will go only because I feel like the main biker gang plot has been resolved and that felt like the whole point of this series. Unless something less comes up? I guess I'll find out.

Fun, enjoyable read
