Oil is king in East Texas during the darkest years of the Great Depression. I love this author, but this is my least favorite

Her books are beautiful, educational and moving, I'm so glad to have found her and I hope she writes many more books. I think I was a little dissatisfied with this book because I wanted it to be longer and the ending not wrapped up so quickly. Good characters, the heroine is very real, she's no disney princess. An enjoyable read.
