Thank you, Kelsey Clayton, for sharing this piece of imagination with the world! I have been so sourly disappointed at so many books in this genre where the female lead is portrayed as a lust filled, spineless dummy. Finally I have found a book that doesn't repeat itself constantly, the Voice Actors are amazing, the main characters are portrayed as close to reality as one can expect AND caused me to spend my precious credit on the second book without hesitation.

Good, but not sure it did it for me. One reviewer mentioned an excess of violence, but I didn’t find the violence to be too much, especially considering the genre. Although perhaps the way it was written felt more authentic? I felt the romance aspect of the book was lacking. Yes there was sex of course, but there was very little sexual tension that built up between the main characters before the sex started. The sex is rough and pain is a turn on for both of them. Narration was good. I’m on the fence about whether or not I’ll go on to listen to book 2.

Well,... In part this is fairly well written but at times the violence is over the top and one sex scene with a knife handle was beyond cringe. Yet, at times the character dynamics and layers of plot are entertaining. If the unnecessary over the top violence and cringe were excluded, I would have appreciated this a lot more. So if you are concerned with triggers stay clear. The narration was good.
