Description

In an academy that trains people to deal with monsters and mayhem, there's one challenge even Gryff may not be ready to face: final exams.

On the plus side, he'll capture a giant armored monster and get to ride around on its shoulder while the beast smites things with its sword.

Must read For LitRpg and Fantasy Fans(And 18+Fun;)

Since there's no review for this Book yet I feel I'm obligated to, because I have read the prior books of the series, and it has become one of my Fav book series out there.
What I usually look for in a Book Series is Edge of your seat Action, Land Trotting Adventure, a True almost Unattainable Love Or a Scintillating sizzling Harem Romance ;P and finally Comedy so knee jerkingly funny you'll have co-workers looking at you weird for the random fits of Snorts or Giggles you let out XD
Well look no further because Eric Vall's "Summoner" has it all and More!

Follow the "Country Hick" Gryff in his adventures of becoming a top tier summoner, putting monsters and snarky arse nobles in there place, proving to everyone Summoners are not just a one trick pony in the military of magic vanguards.

Same flaws as the others

I keep listening since I'm so invested at this point but I keep seeing the same problems. More than anything I hate how much the MC calls his girlfriends his "lovers". Its so awkward and out of place. What young 20 something refers to his girlfriends as "lovers"?. Its just weird. Otherwise the narrator still speaks in an unnatural cadence often and even pronounces words differently than the first time he says them. I think he even got a name wrong. And the writing in general isnt great, there is a lot of cheese in the story. These arent terrible but the only reason I'm still listening is because I've made it 4 books in.

Got tired

The story just drags on and on and the characters just seem to be in awe of the lame protagonist that doesn't seem to really grow any. The first couple of books were decent, and the story was great but now it just seems to be dragging like it should have ended a book ago.

Fun in the Finals

Gryff and his crew continue to entertain here. If you have enjoyed the previous books you will find much more to love here. I like that it went back to the school more, and brought back someone from book one. Worth a listen!

so good need more.

I love this series so far. just binged the first four books. the sex is ok in my opinion. I get the lustful sexual scenes but I can go without it. I can't wait for the next one. also hope the next one goes on a bit longer.

Stop with the sex already!

I just want to start off that the reason I keep listening to this series is because I'm actually interested in the main character and his fate.

My one main gripe throughout this series is his tendency to fuck everything that has a vagina and walks on two legs!

Seriously, his "lovers" as he calls them, are getting sexed up by him repeatedly and NONE of them are pregnant yet?? Not a single line of dialogue was spared to explain how not a single one of them have conceived a baby??

I love the narration as it's done extremely well! The narrator's female voices are on point as always. Which is another reason why I keep listening to this series.

This series would be twenty percent better if it didn't have the horn-dogging in it.

MC can be as arrogant as the antagonists...

Story is ok, skipping the sex bits doesn't hurt the story - which is good. I think its weird the female characters, youth or adult, are fine with the MC shagging every warm and willing woman in sight... Most harem based story lines create some kind (albeit lame) pretext explaining the overwhelming attraction and mad dash to the sack, but not here. The MC has a "meaningful" conversation with one of his lovers, and a paragraph later he is welcoming the flirtations of his next... well, his next.

This constant behavior 1) kills his credibility when he frequently explores his feelings for any of the female characters, 2) undermines the depth of any of these relationships, and 3) dilutes the span of villainy and heroism amongst the primary roles. I'd like to see the MC grow the hell up and stop acting like a 14 year old who has just figured out the wonderous mechanics of intercourse.

All that aside, I like where the creature connection is going! This will open up some new ground for storytelling.
