Description
Morgan's life is not easy. Growing up on the streets of City Four, he is constantly shunned by the other citizens. Morgan doesn't mind being ignored. What he does mind, though, are the constant beatings from the city guards due to his friendship with Sarah, the city lord's only daughter. Lord Simon wants him dead, but the laws of the kingdom are on Morgan’s side and even the guards won't kill him, just for being seen near his manor.
Morgan’s time is running out, though. Lord Simon has deep pockets and his last visit to the manor may just have put him over the edge. Worse, he is nearing his 16th birthday, and has yet to awaken any abilities. In a world where might makes right, he has never been one of the mighty. What will he do when faced with a life altering decision and just how will his decision impact those around him?

i loved it
This was a very good audiobook. The protagonist was super dense, and a couple of the characters were one dimensional, but that did nothing to get in the way of the story and excellent world building world building.

Surprisingly good, narration is not horrible.
Although written for older teens the story is quite good. I think I can predict the next book but I will find out soon enough.
I got spoiled with narrators on other books but this guy does a good job. On to Book 2.

extremely juvenile. just returned it.
book is largely aimed at an audience of children perhaps around the age of 12. the writing is...childish at best. I made it 41 minutes in before I called it quits and returned the book., litrpg is largely hit and miss so I am not overly surprised at this point.

Decent story with terrible writing
I got about 2 hours in before I refunded this book. I'm not usually that critical when it comes to writing, but this is high school level at best. The character doesn't need to explain that he "felt something stab him". Show don't tell, get an editor, or at least have people beta read.
I've never heard this narrator before, and I understand that the material was probably difficult to read aloud, but voices were all the same tone and inflection the entire time. Boring to listen to.
I honestly don't understand what other people enjoyed about the book enough to rate it 4+ stars, but everyone is entitled to their opinions.
The premise is decent and with cleaner writing it could be good, but in its current state it's just not worth picking up

Mostly good.
I enjoyed this book. The narrator is pretty good, though some voices sound very similar. My main grievance that I have with this book that was never justified is the unbelievable level of ignorance and naivete of the MC. He is a 16 year old boy who grew up as an orphan on the streets and he doesnt know what sex is. Every time a woman flirts or makes a move he acts like he has no idea what they are doing. He doesnt even grasp what rape is. It's such a dumb mechanic to use it actually detracts from the story. Even if he had never even heard of the opposite sex, his hormone addled teenage body would react to an attractive female flirting and touching him. I'm just blown away that the author took it as far as he did to try and make the MC seem unlearned and naive.

A poor imitation of "Dante's Immortality"
This book was a struggle for me. It followed Dante's Immortality's plot very closely but fall's short in character development/behavior and the world feels dull. You might like the book more if you haven't read the other one. Out of 400+ audio books this the first time I felt compelled to write a review.

Good lord the characters are psychopaths
Teenagers brutally murder people and innocent animals with a stated lack of remorse. Not written overly well either.

one flaw
good book only one problem with this story is that the main character is 14 or 16 years old and he has no idea about sexuality even though he grew up on the streets as an orphan in a city as if he was sheltered his whole life he's more naive or Pur then a noblewoman in the story

Over powered for level is always fun!
The world development isn't to bad but the character development is odd however i got the feeling more would be filled in later. I felt like I didn't understand Morgan's actions or how naive he was for growing up on the streets. With all that going on it didn't take way to much from how fun the story was. This is totally YA and not for epic fantasy buffs, It's not so heavy you can be doing other things while listening.

Very enjoyable, exited for book 2
This book had what I feel a lot of litrpg are missing, and that's a good plot. It showed me who the characters were and what they are willing to do. I could have done without the abusive side character, but I understand why he was there.
The narrator was fine. Some of the female characters started to sound the same, but the guy nailed some of the other voices.

Fairly entertaining
Was a interesting book to read. Kept me entertained. You can tell the author likes anime quite a bit. This story definitely feels like one. If you don't care for that kinda stuff I would stay away from this.

skipped content and shallow character development
Throughout the entire book opportunities to increase the development and depth of the story and characters within are skipped over.
the author seemed rushed to force out half a$$ed product.
