This is your wake-up call to resist the Hustle culture and embrace the slowness of Jesus. Our culture makes constant demands of us: Do more. Accomplish more. Buy more. Post more. Be more. In following these demands, we have indeed become more: More anxious. More tired. More hurt. More depressed. More frantic. What we are doing isn't working! In a society where hustle is the expectation, busyness is the norm and information is king, we have forgotten the fundamentals that make us human, anchor our lives, and provide meaning.

Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

Get ready to get challenged and inspired.
I've looked up to the Bethke family for a while now, so I knew this book was going to be awesome. His view on family building will challenge you in a truly uplifting and edifying way. It's definitely different than today's modern family model, even almost radical—but so much more intentional and fruitful. Married or single, you will learn so much from this book. I don't have a spouse or kids, but if I ever do, I will definitely read this book again and try to apply its principles in my own family life.
Loved the studies and statistics that were applied to the book, as well as the family spotlight on each chapter. The narration was top-notch, too. Genuine, inspiring, and just the right level of speed (if you know the author, you know he's notorious for talking fast haha).
