Description

I was sold to werewolves. They said I'm the lost princess of Howling Sky. I said I'm just Sorissa. They said I'm to be claimed by a lecherous prince and that I'll end some timeless war between werewolves, vampires, and humans. I made other plans.

Then, four powerful werewolves from a rival kingdom came out of nowhere, and I was stolen again. They call themselves Phantom Fangs. Now, they're taking me to their kingdom to keep me "safe".

They probably intend for some other prince to claim me instead. But I'm going to change their minds.

They're different from the other werewolves. They're kind, they listen to me, and they make my blood run hot. Can I trust them?

Contains mature themes.

The feminine voices spoke by male narrator are a bit cringe.

I completely agree with the MC when she pointed out how ridiculously long all the titles are. Even her own, the extra long title everyone keeps addressing her with, is an earful.

I would say this is a "light read" (but not exactly) as in it doesn't go into TOO much detail right off the bat... well, the author doesn't seem to dawdle on deep description of the scenery, but the content itself is rather crude, what with the attempted rape and all. Fine with me, but what's less than stellar is that the overall wording seems awkward. Okay enough to follow along. Perhaps the MC's lack of knowledge just annoys me a little.

The female narrator is good - no issues with her, though that means I notice the awkwardness of the writing more than noting the flaws of the speaker. Male narrator - see title. Also, male characters don't have a very clear difference when they're the focus of their chapter. Sometimes you can hear differences in the dialogue but it's hard to follow. Also seems that the tones of the guys are inconsistent between the 2 narrators; for example, deciding which of the guys has the deepest (or lightest) voice.

The story is interesting enough that I'll probably binge this trilogy.

Pick 1 Narrator per character

I really love the audio books that have both a male and female narrator together, but I've never listened to a book where each chapter they take turns narrating the same characters. I'd say pick a couple characters each to do voices. After a while no character had an individual sound or accent so they all mashed together. The narrators performed excellent but I didn't like the format they were restricted to.

Needs better voice actors

I feel like I would have to physically read this to understand/follow this book. At the end of it I STILL can't tell you about the 4 guys, Todd is a tech-guy and Caspian is the leader but the other 2 blended into the background of the story. To further confuse the listeners, they all sounded the same! The male voice actor could've done different accents/dialects or voice pitches or something! The story itself drags quite a bit, the internal monologues are too much imo. Maybe this book would be better read, but with the repetitive cadence of the female actor, and the male who does 4 characters the same, it was hard to finish.

I really enjoyed the story so far

I really like the story so far it’s difficult from other wolf changing series I’ve read/listened to in the past. I’m interested to see what role the vampires will play now that they have kidnapped the princess. The male narratiors voice when he tries to speak as the princess is pretty bad though I cringe every time.
