Romantic and thought provoking
I’d say on a romance scale it’s an 8.5. It’s not super slutty, probably an 8.5 as well. Not sure if you’d necessarily consider this an enemies to lovers trope, but definitely got that tension.

Plus size MC and over 40? Yes please!
This was my first book by this author and I wasn't disappointed! As a plus size woman myself, I felt so seen, and the fact that Rose is over 40? Perfection! Martin is a dream, and Rose is an absolute goddess. The spice was good, and I loved their conversation before hand.
Narrator did a great job capturing each character. The audio sounded fuzzy or clipped in a couple areas, but I didn't even care.

A fun little classroom romp.
It’s a not-that-deep romance with a predictably happy ending, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It’s a quick listen, with some sufficiently steamy parts and a straight-to-the-point plot. I found the characters likeable and the story was sweet. It’s not my favourite Olivia Dade romance, and at times it felt a little formulaic, but if you want something sexy that will also make you smile, I recommend giving it a try.

Cute, but not great
Overall the story is cute but not great. About half way through they discussed a troubled student and continue on in the book with a more modern feminist vibe. Those things are not inherently bad, but the stubbornness get annoying quickly. The modern subject matters are thought-provoking and, more importantly, distracting. I end up thinking about controversial topics and faze into debate mode rather than enjoying the book.
Love this narrator.
